Step onto The Black Carpet for the official opening of the inaugural Bermuda Black Film Weekend, an evening of film, culture, conversation and connection celebrating Black storytelling across the diaspora.

The evening begins with a Black Carpet cocktail reception featuring music by Korie Minors, bringing together filmmakers, creatives, industry guests, community leaders and film lovers from across the globe.

The Opening Night programme features the presentation of the Black Atlantic Storytelling Award, followed by the Bermuda premiere of:

Three Black Men: A Journey into the Magical Otherwise

Three Black men reverse the transatlantic slave route, journeying from Los Angeles to Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, and Accra, Ghana, exploring resistance, liberation, healing, and new understandings of Blackness.

The screening will be followed by a special conversation with director Sienna McLean-LoGreco and visiting industry guests, exploring Black Atlantic storytelling, identity, and the power of cinema to connect communities across borders.
